With a lifelong passion for travel and decades of experience in the industry, I began my journey in California before moving to Hawaii, where I helped establish one of the state’s first offices for outgoing domestic and international travel. As Director at what was then Inter Island Travel—the largest inbound travel company in Hawaii—I built and led a team of top-tier advisors, ultimately growing the agency into Hawaii’s #1 travel agency.

After nearly 30 years, I co-founded A Touch of Class Travel, a boutique agency that thrived until we sold the business when most partners chose to retire. I later joined HNL Travel, a Virtuoso-member agency, to continue offering luxury travel experiences.

Over the years, I’ve been honored with multiple awards from leading airlines and cruise lines, and served on Seabourn’s Advisory Board. My travel career has also included writing for newspapers and magazines, launching “International Nights” at the Kahala Hilton, and hosting a year-long television series called This Wonderful World.

In civic life, I served as a Commissioner on the Mayor’s Commission on Culture and the Arts, and was appointed Honorary Consul of Norway in Hawaii, culminating in being knighted by the King of Norway—my proudest achievement. Though now Consul Emeritus, I remain active in the Consular Corps and continue to share my global knowledge and deep industry insight with travelers around the world.
