Italy Beyond the Obvious creates custom itineraries for independent travelers to Italy. I have spent over 5 years in Italy, as an exchange student, as a nanny, as a hiking and biking guide for Butterfield & Robinson, and as an expat for Arrow Electronics.

After a decade of helping friends and family with Italy trips on the side, in 2008, I founded Italy Beyond the Obvious.

I love creating trips for people who are visiting Italy for the first time, but my strengths are in getting travelers off the beaten path, or catering to specific interests. We create a lot of active trips, family trips and luxury trips.

No two trips are identical at Italy Beyond the Obvious, each one is crafted based on our travelers’ interests, budget, and pace.
