Always pack lighter than you think and try to leave space in your bags if you plan to shop! There is nothing worse than an over stuffed suitcase or checked bag that weighs more than a car that you have to schlep all over (especially on multi destination itineraries) and pay extra for being overweight. You'll almost always never regret traveling light and if you need something, it warrants a new purchase attached to the destination you traveled to with maybe even a fun story attached.
