Ever inquisitive and an explorer at heart, Carly has a fascination with encountering new people, places and experiences. She even studied psychology at the University of Miami to better understand what makes people tick.

Those qualities combine to make working at Insider a terrific fit — after a much less satisfying stint at a hedge fund. She thrives in an environment where she can contribute to the happiness of others. (Her dream is to breed golden retrievers someday.)

At home, Carly finds happiness in serving chocolate lava cake with a side of vanilla ice cream and a dash of strawberry. She adds that you can never go wrong with an espresso martini — always three beans.
