Most Memorable Travel Experience

One of my most memorable travel experiences was in Dubrovnik, Croatia, where I had the best dinner of my life. My friend and I stumbled upon this little seaside terrace right at sunset, overlooking the Adriatic. The waiter rolled out a cart of freshly caught fish- straight from the sea that day- and let us choose which one we wanted for dinner. From there, the night just unfolded perfectly: rounds of local wine selected by the sommelier, amazing conversation, so much laughter, and the kind of food that makes you stop mid-bite just to take it all in. As the waves crashed below us and the candles came on, the sun slipped into the sea and it felt like time slowed down. It wasn’t planned, but that’s what made it so special- a completely unexpected gem that turned into one of those moments I’ll always remember.

If your personality was depicted in a property, which would you be?

If my personality were a property, I’d be something like The Roseate in Edinburgh. It’s an old, renovated Victorian home, so it’s full of history, character, and charm but it’s also trying something new, blending classic elegance with modern touches. The spaces feel cozy and comfortable, with thoughtful details at every turn that make the stay feel truly special. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, feel completely at home, and still be inspired by the story and beauty around you. Warm, inviting, and carefully curated- qualities I aspire to possess!

Best Travel Tip

My best travel tip is to stay flexible. Some of the most authentic and memorable moments happen when you leave a little room for spontaneity instead of sticking to a rigid schedule. Another big one for me is talking to people- your driver, waiter, barista, concierge, even the couple sitting next to you at the bar. Locals and fellow travelers usually have the best stories and recommendations, and those little conversations can completely change the way you experience a place. It’s the best way to really connect with your destination; not just by seeing it, but by getting to know the people who live there.

How Do You Define Luxury Travel?

I define luxury travel as service that goes above and beyond in the smallest, most thoughtful ways. It’s turn-down service where your glass of water is set exactly where you like it before bed, staff who not only remember your name but also your preferences, and personalized recommendations that feel like they were made just for you. To me, it’s all about attention to detail and genuine hospitality- the kind that transforms a hotel stay from just being an accommodation into feeling like a temporary home. True luxury feels less like being served and more like being hosted.
